This second international cluster workshop on e-Freight will deal with the top issues, such as corridor information exchange and information management under changing logistics. Well-known representatives from the private and public sector will present in the first session current examples of best practices and results of collaboration and exchange along transport corridors. In a second session it will be discussed how e-Freight can support logistics to be adapted under future logistic challenges in the Baltic Region notably on green corridors.
Furthermore, it will present the main targets and challenges in freight transport and logistics and other high priority aspects in the fields of infrastructure, technology and organisation. Finally, a technical visit to the Control Center of Lithuanian Railways will offer the opportunity to see some state-of-the-art solutions for managing transporting goods along East-West corridors.

How to get logistics greener? What are interesting projects and solutions in the sector of Green Logistics? These and more questions will be discussed in the first session of the meeting in Vienna. The focus will be put onto new concepts, processes and business cases as well as technology (eMobility, alternative fuels, etc.), regulations and cooperation initiatives.
Co-Modality is the subject of the second session. After a look at the current situation in the EU, modal split, Co-Modal hinterland transportation (connection to ports) and forecasts, the 3 focuses will be on Terminal-Operators, combined Transport (road-rail) and Inland navigation.
